Hello Clients and Friends

January came and went in a blur and half of February is already in the books. During January we completed W-2’s, we are currently finishing up 1099’s and Personal Property returns, and have begun processing tax returns. The IRS just opened on Friday the 12th and we are starting actual appointments. The next 8 weeks will also go quickly as we will be working at top capacity in order to complete as many of your returns as we can before April 15th.

I want to take this time to discuss in-person appointments versus phone appointments with screen sharing.

Last year, after we were forced into phone appointments, we actually learned our appointment time with you was more productive since you were at home with your records. It was also a time saver for our clients since you did not have to travel to our office and definitely easier for those that have difficulty doing the stairs up to Ellen’s office.

After reviewing the pros and cons, we prefer phone appointments.

So, at this time, we are encouraging you to stay home and let us share our screen with you via the internet. If you truly desire to come into the office you can, just give Jen a call to let her know you plan on coming in.
